2009 Midyear Reads

For 2009, I set a few personal reading goals:

1) Read some Urban Fantasy.
2) Finally get to some authors that have been lingering on my list of authors to try. Read one book, and if I like them, go for the backlist.

  1. That's an impressive list Hils. I think you've got a good variety going. Only two DNF - that's good.

For your #3 goal you could try Julie James. She has two contemps out that are good, quick reads. Very funny. For the scifi romance the only ones that come to mind are Grant, Sinclair and Spangler. Which I think you've got covered. :)

  2. Thanks Leslie. I don't do too many DNFs, I tend to rinse and repeat first, lol!

Thank you so much for the recommendation, she's going on my list. I'm on the lookout for good Contemp/Rom authors. On the Sci-Fi/Fantasy front, I do have quite a few Fantasy books on my list/TBR pile, but I'm still looking for some good recommendations to add to my Sci-Fi/Romance.

Now to find the time. :)

  6. Hi, CJ! I've been lucky this year, I took my time picking and choosing some of the authors for a change, lol!

I thought Angel's Pawn was a wonderful companion novella to Angel's Blood, and it really gives a wonderful perspective into the Hunter's Guild. No HEA on that one, but boy was there tension! I can't wait to read more about these characters in future. :)
