19 books, that's pretty awesome, Hils :) My month started out pitiful, but I was able to salvage some of it. Don't know how February is going to be, what with curling ^_^;

You definitively liked Within Reach better than I did. Ms Kearsley is an author I keep saying I need to try... Let's hope that becomes true in 2013 LOL. And the Ruthie Knox has been getting good reviews, so I need to pick that one up :)
Hmmm, aside from the Ruthie Knox and Joanna Chambers, nothing from 2013? Seriously, publishers need to start the year with a bigger bang.
Nath, January was better than expected. I read lots of BIG books (400 and 500 pages and over). But most of all it was an enjoyable month both on the reading and blogging fronts.
DeleteI know you like Knox and this novella is the beginning of a new contemporary romance series. Definitely pick it up!
And well... I usually use January to catch up with some of the great books that lingered in my TBR from the previous year (the Wool Omnibus and Within Reach are two of them), or to read late December releases -- the Jennifer Ashley was a 12/31 release. And FYI the John Scalzi books are 2013 releases, plus the Kat Murray also counts as a Jan release. :)
But yeah, I know what you mean!
19 books is fantastic! I only reached five...but one was ~600 pages long :) All the best for February :)

Hey Sonia! I will either write a review for Exclusive Yours or a mini. But, I definitely recommend it, Sonia. I read the third (?) book of the Kowalski series and really enjoyed it (B+), so I decided it was time to just catch up and begin at the beginning. It's a good, solid beginning. :D
DeleteWhat a great month for you, Hils. All that sci-fi and quite a few other books, too! Let's hope February is just as awesome. I'm so glad you loved the Kearsley book. I am more than half way through--I should be reading now instead of blog hopping! I had a busy week last week, but this week looks more relaxed, so I am determined to finish it within a day or two.

DeleteI'm still not finished with The Winter Sea, can you believe it? Life's been busy. Hopefully I'll finish today -- I'm drowning in laundry because my weekend was so busy, so it's me, laundry and The Winter Sea today. :)
